Randy Meyer Racing heads to Ohio this weekend for the IHRA Spring Nationals with a strong two-car Top Alcohol Dragster lineup. IHRA championship contender Rachel Meyer-Curl returns to the seat of the Hedinger’s Equipment / NGK Spark Plugs & Coils dragster, looking to build early momentum in the 2026 IHRA season as the team eyes another championship run.
Joining the team for the weekend is fan-favorite Matt Sackman, who will pilot the GUNK dragster. Sackman brings a proven track record with Randy Meyer Racing, having secured NHRA victories with the team in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. This event marks his first IHRA start in a Top Alcohol Dragster.
“I’m excited to go racing this weekend in Columbus,” said Sackman. “I haven’t raced with Randy and the team since 2024, so I’m looking forward to hanging out with everyone again and having some fun.”
With a mix of championship pedigree and winning experience between the two drivers, Randy Meyer Racing is poised to make a strong showing at the IHRA Spring Nationals. Watch the action live on Speed Sport 1, with qualifying beginning Friday and eliminations set for Saturday, weather permitting.
