Randy Meyer Racing is set to make its first-ever appearance at the NHRA Potomac Nationals this weekend, May 29-31, at Maryland International Raceway with a two-car Top Alcohol Dragster lineup featuring veteran driver Gary Pritchett alongside Matt Cummings.

Pritchett returns to the Randy Meyer Racing seat driving the Hoopes Fire Prevention, Hedinger’s Equipment, and NGK Spark Plugs-backed dragster after building an impressive record with the team across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In just nine races together, Pritchett has delivered four runner-up finishes and two event victories, proving to be a consistent contender and strong fit for the championship-caliber operation.

“We’ve had a lot of success with Gary behind the wheel the last couple of years,” said Randy Meyer. “He’s done a great job representing our team and our partners, and we’re excited to have him back with us for our first trip to Maryland International Raceway. The chemistry has been there from the start, and we’re looking forward to another strong weekend.”

“I am excited to be back behind the wheel with Randy Meyer Racing this weekend at the track I grew up at, Maryland International Raceway,” said Pritchett. “I have a lot of great memories and history here, especially with Bunny Burkett. If you’re at the track, make sure to check out her car on top of the snack bar. Big thanks to Hedingers Equipment, NGK Spark Plugs, and Hoopes Fire Prevention for the opportunity to get back in the alcohol dragster this weekend. Let’s go racing!”

Joining Pritchett in the Randy Meyer Racing stable will be Matt Cummings, who returns to pilot the GUNK-backed dragster. Cummings has continued to show progress early in the 2026 season, highlighted by a semifinal finish at the prestigious NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville earlier this year.
