Randy Meyer Racing is set to make headlines at Maple Grove Raceway as sisters Megan Meyer and Rachel Meyer-Curl return to competition together for the opening event of the inaugural IHRA Triple Crown Series, taking place May 21–24 in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The Maple Grove event will feature some of the biggest names and fastest cars in drag racing, including Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod, Mountain Motor Pro Stock, and more pro-category competition. This race is the first of three IHRA Triple Crown races scheduled for 2026, with additional events taking place later this season in Columbus, Ohio and Memphis, Tennessee.

For the first time this year, the Meyer sisters will compete side-by-side under the Randy Meyer Racing banner, creating one of the most anticipated storylines heading into the new IHRA Triple Crown format.

IHRA event winner Rachel Meyer-Curl is looking to continue her momentum as she chases the 2026 IHRA Championship while driving the Hedinger’s Equipment/NGK Spark Plugs & Ignition Coils Top Alcohol Dragster. As her older sister Megan Meyer officially launches her return to IHRA competition in the GUNK Top Alcohol Dragster after competing in two events during the 2025 season, where she reached the semifinal round both times.

Now, Megan enters the 2026 Triple Crown season with unfinished business; “I’m extremely excited to get back behind the wheel and race alongside Rachel again,” said Megan. “Last year gave me the confidence that I can still compete at a high level after stepping away for a few years. Reaching the semifinals at both IHRA races definitely lit a fire in me, and now I’m coming into these Triple Crown events with one goal; to win my first Ironman trophy and bring home the money.”

Rachel Meyer-Curl says having both sisters back together on race day makes this season even more special. “It’s really exciting to have Megan back racing with us again,” said Rachel Meyer. “Growing up racing together, we always pushed each other to be better, and having both of us back in Top Alcohol Dragster brings a lot of energy to the team. Maple Grove is such a legendary place to race, and I think the fans are going to love seeing the Meyer sisters back together, and in Reading for the first time together.”

Unlike traditional championship formats, the IHRA Triple Crown events are standalone, high-stakes races focused on prestige, payouts, and event victories rather than season points battles, putting extra emphasis on every round of competition.

The Triple Crown opener at Maple Grove Raceway promises to deliver one of the largest motorsports experiences of the season. Fans will enjoy full pit access, live entertainment, food vendors, midway attractions, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
