The 2025 season has officially wrapped for Randy Meyer Racing (RMR), and the team is celebrating one of its most accomplished years to date. Competing across NHRA, IHRA, the Jegs AllStars and a specialty shootout event, the team entered 26 races with a stable of three Top Alcohol Dragsters and one Injected Nitro Funny Car, ultimately collecting eight wins, five runner-up finishes, twelve No. 1 qualifiers, and competitive performances from eight different drivers. With two new full-time drivers joining the program, a pair of regional championships, and a near world title, RMR once again solidified its place as one of the top alcohol teams in the sport.
The biggest headline of the year centered around the team’s newest full-time addition, Matt Cummings, an established Top Alcohol Dragster veteran who made the decision to leave another powerhouse team and join the GUNK/Hedinger’s Equipment-backed Randy Meyer Racing organization for a full national campaign to chase the championship. The move paid immediate dividends; Cummings delivered a remarkable season with wins in Gainesville, Charlotte, Indianapolis, and Bowling Green, runner-up finishes at Vegas and the AllStars, and multiple semi-final appearances. He qualified No. 1 nine times, including at the NHRA U.S. Nationals. His performance put him in contention for the 2025 NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster World Championship, ultimately finishing second in the national standings; just one round shy of winning the world title over Shawn Cowie. In addition to his standout national run, Cummings clinched the North Central Region Championship, adding to RMR’s championship legacy.
“Our team was so focused and competitive every race,” said Cummings. “I knew waking up in the mornings, we had the car and team to win the race. We stayed at the top of the standings the whole season and that’s not easy to keep your focus and stay hungry for victory all season long. My team did it. We won the North Central Regional Championship and placed second in National standings. My most surprising finish was the Vegas spring race. I was so happy to get the GatorNationals win after trying so many times in my home state. My most emotional and satisfying win was the Carolina Fall race. That could have been my best race ever, so many distractions to overcome to win that race. Thank you to Randy Meyer Racing Team, Randy, Mary, JJ, Rob, Chris, Rich and Doug, my teammate McKenna, my girlfriend Noelle, my family for their support and everyone back at the shop that keep the business going when I’m away.”

Rookie sensation McKenna Bold made her full-season debut in record-setting fashion. Entering 2025 as a first-year driver in the Top Alcohol Dragster ranks, Bold quickly proved she belonged with the best. She earned a No. 1 qualifier position at the Norwalk National before scoring her first career win, and followed that up by winning the Norwalk Regional. Her consistent reaction-times and round-appearances powered her to an impressive eighth-place finish in the NHRA national standings, an extraordinary achievement for a rookie—and she captured the Central Region Championship in her debut season.
“This year was everything I have dreamed of and worked endlessly to make happen,” said Bold. “To see all we were able to accomplish this year, it really is a pinch me moment with getting a national event win, regional win, qualifying for the Jegs AllStars, winning the Central Region championship, and getting a number one qualifier all in my rookie year. Norwalk was the highlight for me, going wire-to-wire for my first national win in only my fourth start, then coming back for Night Under Fire and sweeping both events is something I’ll never forget. All of our success is a testament to Randy Meyer Racing. Randy and our crew work nonstop to give us the best race cars, and even when we struggled with performance in the second half of the year, I never lost confidence in them. Racing brings highs and lows, but this season gave us so much to celebrate. I was proud to represent Diezel Excavating, Maxima Racing Oils, NGK, Simpson, GUNK, and CP-Carrillo all year long. Their support gave me confidence every time I strapped in. The amount of people cheering me on means more than I can explain, and I know this is only the beginning.”

“Winning the Central Region championship in my rookie year was something I never expected, especially with how tough the TAD class is. It came right down to the final qualifying event, which made it a true nail-biter, ” Bold claimed. “A championship is what every driver strives for, but earning one in year one makes it even more special and reflects how incredible this team really is. The fact that my teammate Matt won the North Central Region makes it feel like a full RMR sweep. I’m extremely competitive and always looking for improvement, but ending the season with this championship is the perfect way to showcase our team’s hard work and the support from Diezel Excavating. It’s an amazing start to my career, and I can’t wait to build on it.”
Beyond its two new full-time racers, Randy Meyer Racing continued to showcase depth across its entire driver lineup. Julie Nataas drove the A/Fuel TAFC in Gainesville with Slow Down Move Over, then picked up the regional win in St. Louis in the Gunk dragster. Gary Pritchett earned a runner-up finish at the Top Alcohol Dragster Shootout and added solid regional showings in Indianapolis and Brainerd. Megan Meyer returned for select appearances and reached the semi-finals at the Top Alcohol Dragster Shootout before scoring back-to-back second-round finishes at IHRA events in Hebron and Milan. Rachel Meyer collected the team’s first IHRA win at the Outlaw Nitro Series’ West Salem event and delivered consistent results in Hebron and Milan. Zac Fulcher, another rookie in Top Alcohol Dragster, earned a runner-up finish at the LODRS Regional in Bowling Green. And Cheyne Phillips, making his U.S. debut joining the team late in the year, qualified No. 4 at the NHRA Fall Las Vegas Nationals and No. 3 at the Pomona NHRA Finals, setting a new career best and winning first round before the Pomona race was canceled.

Over the course of the season, the team fielded three Top Alcohol Dragsters and one Funny Car, adapting seamlessly to the demanding multi-series schedule and proving its expertise across multiple platforms. The 2025 campaign reflected the organization’s hallmark traits: depth in equipment, strength in driver development, strategic execution, and the ability to perform under pressure at both regional and national stages.
With two regional championships, a national runner-up finish, and multiple new and returning drivers, Randy Meyer Racing concludes 2025 proud of the year’s accomplishments and energized for what lies ahead. Preparations for 2026 are already underway, with the team poised to continue its upward trajectory and build on the success of this standout season.
