[post_content] => Both Randy Meyer Racing Top Alcohol Dragster drivers Rachel Meyer and Julie Nataas made it to the final round quad at the 11th annual NGK NTK NHRA Four-Wide Nationals with Meyer taking home the win at zMAX DRAGWAY.

In the first round, Julie led the way in the No. 2 qualifying spot in the OTG/NGK Spark Plugs/Right Trailers dragster, and Rachel was close behind in the No. 4 spot in the NTK Sensors dragster. In her quad, Rachel crossed the finish line first of her quad with a 5.186-second pass at 277.89 mph. Robin Samsel’s 5.226, 270.54 advanced to the next round with Meyer as they defeated Jasmine Salinas and Dan Dietrich. Nataas finished first in her quad as well as she had a sizeable starting line advantage with a .012-second light and took it all the way to the win with a 5.225, 270.21. Duane Shields’ 5.328, 265.90 advanced with Nataas over Megan Smith and Corey Michalek.

Second round, Rachel used a 5.189, 272.94 in her dragster to advance to the final round quad with Karen Stalba (5.154, 282.07) and together they defeated Robin Samsel and James Stevens. Julie followed right behind, being first to the finish line in her quad once again, with a 5.210, 266.32; Matthew Cummings’ 5.211, 275.51 advanced to the finals as well over Duane Shields and Mick Steele.

In the final round quad, Rachel and Julie staged up against Karen Stalba and Matthew Cummings; all four cars were the top four qualifiers at the event and all four were A/Fuel. For Nataas, she crossed the finish line with a more than honorable 5.223, 273.27 in her dragster finishing fourth of the quad. Making a living in the 5.18’s on race day, Rachel was second off the line behind Stalba but an out-of-this-world 5.141, 272.78 rocketed Rachel past Stalba for the win.

Meyer’s run was low elapsed time of the entire event and her career quickest; this was Rachel’s second national event win of her career with both coming in the 2021 season.

Catch the 4-wide race replay on FS2 Thursday, May 27th at 8:30pm ET or on FS1 Saturday, May 29th at 6:00am ET.
