Looking back at the 2021 race season, we had another outstanding year running two dragsters full-time, a big challenge all on it’s own. Here’s a look at our five most unforgettable moments from the 2021 NHRA season:
5. Racing 4-Wide Successfully
This was our first time being able to take advantage of the 4-wide tracks at Las Vegas and Charlotte, and we actually really enjoyed it! Julie made it to the final quad at both events, and Rachel took home the win at the NGK/NTK Nationals!
4. Winning the Heartland Nationals with Dusty
Racing at your home track is the hardest thing to try and accomplish, but we finally got the win in Topeka for the National event (it’s been since 2014). What makes this one more special is winning it alongside Dusty Meyer, Randy’s nephew, in memory of Joe Meyer.
3. Winning 2 different races on the same weekend
When Randy decided to run Rachel and Julie separately on the same weekend, we thought he was crazy. However, the team’s preparation and hard work paid off and Rachel and Julie both made it to the winner’s circles and qualified number one!
2. Julie winning the AllStars
Almost every year, our team earns a spot in the prestigious Jegs AllStars event where the best team’s from each region race against each other. It’s been 7 years since Randy won the race, until Julie sealed the deal and won the 2021 AllStars!
1. Rachel winning the Vegas Nationals for the Championship
In a winner-take-all final round, Rachel did an outstanding job of handling the pressure of winning her last Top Alcohol Dragster race and trying to clinch our team’s third consecutive World Championship!
