Julie Nataas took home her 4th win of the 2021 season in the OTG, Right Trailers dragster under the Randy Meyer Racing Team umbrella at this past weekend’s Lucas Oil North Central Regional event held in Bowling Green, KY. This was her second win in a row in 3 final rounds in the past 3 years of racing at the Battle at the Beech event.

“We struggled a bit in qualifying when we smoked the tires both rounds,” said Julie, “but Randy figured out the tune up for eliminations and we were able to lay down the best pass in first round! I think this weekend proves that it really doesn’t matter where you qualify as long as you have it figured out for race day. I’m so proud of these guys and how hard they work.”

Going into first round from the number 5 spot, Julie defeated Rich McPhillips Jr with a 5.25 ET at 276 mph, the quickest pass of the entire round. With lane choice over Mick Steele in second round, she got the win with a slower 5.31 ET at 275 mph. Julie was then faced up against Jasmine Salinas, the number one qualifier, for the final round. Julie had the starting line advantage with a .053 reaction time, and held the lead against Jasmine to clock in at 5.29 ET at 272 mph to Jasmine’s 5.28 ET.

Randy and his team will be competing with Julie and Rachel Meyer this weekend for the two biggest drag racing events of the year; the Jegs AllStars and the U.S. Nationals with partnerships from Technician.Academy, MotoRad, and Ivy Tech Community College.
