Kansas-based Top Alcohol Dragster powerhouse Randy Meyer Racing is recharged and ready to return to competition following their mid-season break, with back-to-back events at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The team will compete in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional race June 20–22, followed by the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals the following weekend, June 27–30.
Although the team hasn’t captured a win at Norwalk since 2023, they came close in 2024 with a runner-up finish by Julie Nataas. With momentum from strong early-season showings, RMR is hungry to finish the job this time around.
Matt Cummings will be the sole driver representing the team at the regional event, piloting the GUNK nitro-injected Top Alcohol Dragster tuned by Randy Meyer. For the national event, both Matt and rookie standout McKenna Bold will compete under the RMR banner, with support from GUNK and Hedinger’s Equipment.
“I am feeling energized after taking off for our summer break,” said Matt Cummings. “I enjoyed my time off with Noelle and my family, but I’m ready to hit the nitro again and continue our season. I’m excited to go back to the track of my first National Event win. Norwalk is in a perfect spot on the schedule because it’s just before the Fourth of July. It’s definitely a slice of Americana. The Bader family always delivers a great show. The track is usually very challenging. I remember being there in 100-degree heat but wearing a sweatshirt the next day.”
