Top Alcohol Dragster’s leading two-car team, owned by Randy Meyer, will be backed by John Haley #1 Roofer, LLC for the 2018 NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minnesota. Megan Meyer and Julie Nataas, the two record holders for the Fastest Sportsman ¼ Mile Female and Quickest Sportsman ¼ Mile Female, respectively, will be piloting the TAD machines.
John Haley, a former NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster driver and team owner, has been a sponsor of the Randy Meyer Racing Team for many years at the Lucas Oil Nationals. The team won this event last year with former driver Justin Ashley, while Megan took home a semi-final finish. This will be Julie’s first year competing at Brainerd, Minnesota.
“We are proud to support one of drag racing’s #1 race teams with the #1 Roofer in the Brainerd Lakes area,” said John Haley. “We have provided top-quality, leak-free roofing for the Brainerd and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas for over 30 years. We love what we do and stand behind our work. Whether you want a new roof installed or a small deck built, just get in touch with us for a free estimate.” You can learn more about their roofing, siding, and home improvement services at: www.johnhaleynumberoneroofer.com
“I am very eager to return to Brainerd,” said Megan. “I have raced at BIR for years – I used to compete in my Junior Dragster at the divisional events. Brainerd is a great track for our A/Fuel cars, and, with the low car count this weekend, we have high hopes of returning to the winner’s circle with one of our cars.”
The Top Alcohol class will get two qualifying sessions on Friday, followed by one Saturday morning. The opening round of eliminations will begin on Saturday afternoon. All remaining three rounds of eliminations will be held on Sunday, weather permitting.
The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series broadcast will air Thursday, August 30th at 9/8pm central time on FS2. The race will re-air on FS1 Tuesday, September 4th at 7/6pm central time. There will be multiple re-air episodes on FS1 and FS2 in September.
