Driver Bio: No stranger to a life in the fast lane, Megan Meyer grew up around the sport of drag racing and in 2004 at just 10 years of age, she was given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Junior Dragster and took over the driving duties with no hesitations. Megan earned herself back-to-back points championships at their local drag strip, Kansas City International Raceway, with her Junior Dragster at the ages of 16 and 17. In 2011, Megan graduated from the Junior Dragster League and piloted her Super Comp Dragster full-time while competing in divisional races alongside her father. She has had a successful career in the competitive Super Comp ranks, earning 6 runner-up titles.
Megan has ambitions of reaching the same level of achievement as her famous father, and began pursuing her dreams of piloting the family owned Top Alcohol Dragster in 2013. After 2 years of getting seat time in the A/Fuel car, she obtained her NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster license in early 2015. Megan was able to compete in two regional events that summer, and had an outstanding debut with a runner-up and semi-final finish.
Looking to expand her passion for racing, she quickly jumped back in the dragster after graduating college for a full race schedule of the NHRA tour. Megan competed in 17 races in 2016 and has an impressive racing resume that includes her first National event win at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, 5 Runner-Up finishes, all four special awards: Rookie of the Year, Best Appearing Car, Best Appearing Crew, and Best Engineered Car, as well as setting the record for the quickest female pass of 5.15 seconds.
With a nearly perfect season in the Lucas Oil Central Region Series, Megan clinched her first Top Alcohol Dragster Regional Championship in only her sophomore season. She went on to earn multiple event wins, special awards, track records, and even reset the longest standing NHRA ET record of running 5.090 seconds in the 1/4 mile (previously 5.11 held by Bill Reichert). Megan secured two World Championships before retiring from NHRA competition at the end of 2020. Megan is back behind the wheel competing at exhibition events and Nitro Chaos races, where she became the first female to win in 2022 at Mo-Kan Dragway.
