Randy Meyer Racing made a triumphant return to Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa, securing a long-awaited victory at the final Central Regional race of the season. With drivers Gary Pritchett and Scott Dean behind the wheel, the team celebrated their first win at this event since 2019—where Randy Meyer himself claimed his first NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster win.

Scott Dean qualified strong in the No. 2 spot with a 5.307-second run at 266.16 mph, while Pritchett took the fifth spot with a 5.409-second pass at 270.92 mph. However, Dean’s race day came to an early end after a first-round upset against Marina Garlick when he smoked the tires and lost traction.

Pritchett, on the other hand, pushed through a hard-fought day. In the first round, he faced Jared Dreher in a “pedal fest” after both drivers lost traction. Pritchett regained control and got his car hooked up after half-track, crossing the finish line with a 7.200-second run at 255.77 mph to advance.

In the semifinals, Pritchett faced off against No. 1 qualifier Nick Spiegel. Spiegel struggled to find traction while Pritchett delivered a consistent 5.351-second run at 270.92 mph, with a reaction time of 0.026 seconds, propelling him into the final round.

In the finals, Pritchett lined up against Dan Flewelling. With a reaction time of 0.033 seconds and his best run of the weekend—a 5.316-second pass at 273.72 mph—Pritchett edged out Flewelling, who posted a 5.382-second run at 273.83 mph.

Reflecting on the historic win, Pritchett said, “We went to Earlville, Iowa with a plan and executed it perfectly; thanks to all our sponsors and Randy Meyer Racing for making it possible. Randy got his first win here, and it’s amazing to add another chapter to that legacy. It feels great to get a win here and take over the top spot in the North Central Region standings.”

With this victory, Pritchett now leads the North Central Region points standings, overtaking Tony Stewart. Randy Meyer Racing will look to carry this momentum forward as they prepare for the final stretch of the season.
